Cookie Policy
Effective Date: 26 August 2026
Last Updated: 26 August 2026
1. What this Policy Covers
This Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies pioticon.com uses, why we use them, and the choices you have. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. We use two kinds: essential cookies, which the site needs to function and which do not require consent, and analytics cookies, which are only set after you accept them through our cookie banner.
2. Essential Cookies
These are first-party cookies set by pioticon.com itself. They contain no advertising identifiers, are not shared with third parties, and are not used to track you across other websites.
- pio_consent — remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we do not ask you again on every page. Kept for 6 months.
- pio_chat_pass — set after you pass a one-time verification check when first using the AI chat assistant, so you are not challenged again on every message. It is a signed token that identifies nothing about you. Kept for up to 12 hours.
- pio_dl_pass — set after you complete the company profile download form, and is what authorises the download itself. Kept for up to 1 hour.
Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused verification service that distinguishes people from bots. Turnstile may use browser storage strictly for that security purpose; it does not build advertising profiles. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
3. Analytics Cookies (consent required)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC, United States) to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and where the site can be improved. Google Analytics sets cookies beginning with _ga, which are kept for up to 2 years.
We do not load Google Analytics at all until you choose "Accept analytics" in the banner. If you decline, no request is made to Google and no analytics cookie is set. We do not use advertising features, remarketing, or ad personalisation, and we have configured the tag to signal that advertising storage is denied.
Information collected by Google Analytics is processed on Google's servers, which may be located outside Australia and New Zealand, including in the United States. See Section 11 of our Privacy Policy regarding overseas disclosure, and Google's privacy policy for how Google handles this data.
4. What We Do Not Use
- No advertising or remarketing cookies
- No social media tracking pixels
- No cross-site tracking or sale of data
- No cookies from the AI chat assistant beyond the verification pass described above — your conversation itself is stored only in your own browser tab
5. Your Choices
You can change your cookie choice at any time using the button below, which re-opens the consent banner:
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect features such as the chat assistant, forms, and the profile download.
6. Contact
Questions about this Policy can be sent to info@pioticon.com with the subject line "Privacy Enquiry".
7. Changes to this Policy
If we add or change the cookies we use, we will update this page and, where the change involves new non-essential cookies, ask for your consent again through the banner.
